The lecture “Nanosensorics” will start on October 21, 2022. It will be given on campus in HS 2104 (WA) (please check in HIS for further information).

The registration key for the Moodle course will be provided in the first lecture. You have to register yourself, I will not do this for you. It is recommended to do this directly at the beginning of the semester. Registration is closed when the lecture ends (February 10, 2023)!

In this lecture various important methods to characterize structures on the micro- or nanometer scale and their application are presented. The topics cover techniques like: microscopy (limits of conventional methods and modern improvements), electron microscopy (SEM, TEM), ion beam optics (FIB, microscopes), ellipsometry, optical characterization of semiconductors (photo luminescence, laser gain, Raman spectroscopy), X-ray & electron diffraction, scanning probe microscopy (AFM, STM, MFM, SNOM).
