The course is devoted to the development, changes and current form of
family policy in an international context. The course also focuses on
the analysis of European models of family policies, their common and
specific features, their historical development and the link to social
security systems. Attention is paid to the demographic, sociological,
economic and political contexts relevant for deciding on family policy
priorities. Students will also have a direct opportunity to design
reforms in family policies and analyze their effects in terms of poverty
