Course targets:

To learn basic principles of optoelectronic devices and systems, structure and operating principles of optoelectronic components as well as special applications of these devices and photonic tools. The course is completed by future perspectives and market visions. Not only simple facts and tools are presented, but considerable emphasis is also put on methodology. The engineer should learn to solve problems using interdisciplinary analogies. In other words: looking into the successful solutions of nature is a promising approach for an advanced working engineer. To gether deep knowledge of the complex interaction of electronic, thermal and optical phenomena in laser diodes.
