Course Description
The course aims to give the students a general framework on different aspects of academic standards, including critical thinking, critical reading, formulation of a research question, literature review, critical writing, structure of a research paper, plagiarism, ethics, referencing, and presentation techniques. Another aim of the course is to discuss how the points mentioned above are operationalized in academic works. Therefore, in the last two weeks of the course, two articles from the field of global political economy of labour are discussed not only in terms of their content but also according to the points mentioned above.
