This class reports the soil physical properties and processes in agroecosystems to enable students to address issues associated with sustainable use of soils and irrigation requirements. Topics include characteristics of soils of the vadose zone, water in the vadose zone, evapotranspiration and irrigation requirements. Exercises will comprise the use of Hydrus-1D and CropWat.
